Bethesda’s Starfield to feature biggest map yet

Yes my friends, you read that right – one of our all-time favourite companies have confirmed that their upcoming title, Starfield, will feature their biggest map yet. Bethesda hold a place in the hearts of many gamers as being one of the greatest, if not the best developer of Western-style RPGs. All you have to do is look at their library to know that this is the case – from Skyrim to Fallout, many years they have had a monopoly on this market. Not many details are known about their space RPG, Starfield, but what we have learnt today in a recent conference talk given by Director, Todd Howard – the game will be bigger even than Fallout 76. Check out the original teaser trailer below.

You see, what we don’t know is that whether or not this scale will be on the planets themselves, or an entire galaxy map – which if that’s the case it could cause some discrepancies. To be honest, I haven’t really heard anything about this game. The trailer doesn’t show us anything apart from a star-shaped space station of some sort – who knows, maybe the entire game takes place on it. That could be cool.

Maybe this game will be the start of something new and incredible for the studio, but if it follows in the recent trends of Fallout 4 and 76 then I won’t be too engaged with this. The last title I tried to get in to which followed the Fallout formula in space was The Outer Worlds and what a flop that was.

Anyway, if you want to check out the whole talk from Todd Howard at Develop:Brighton, you can do below.
