Season pass details revealed for Valhalla

Yes – only a day after we released our article, Is Valhalla what I want in an Assassin’s Creed game?, we now have more details for you regarding post-launch content coming 9th-century England. Well, sort of. Last night we were greeted with a trailer detailing much of the post-launch content that will be coming to the game in the form of a season pass and additional free content for all players. Check out the trailer below.

The first of the two major DLC expansions coming in Spring 2021 is entitled, Wrath of the Druids. As Eivor, you make your way across the channel to Ireland to explore the dark mysteries of the island ran by barbarian kings and druids. This is a DLC I am quite interested in as Celtic history has always been a fascination of mine since I was at University.

The second major expansion, The Siege of Paris, takes you to – you guessed it – Paris. You will take part in the major historical battle which saw the Norsemen attack Paris to extend their Viking rule and control over more of the European continent. This is a major historical battle and I really hope this DLC will deliver some true experience to the player.

Additionally, post-launch also features a number of free content patches for every player of Valhalla. The first of these begins in late-2020 and is the Yule Festival. Look forward to how these free patches will make smaller, yet noticeable changes to your settlement and the game in general. They also announced that the game will feature a Discovery Tour in post-launch content. The Discovery Tour was an option added to in previous games to give the players the option to really explore the historical setting of the in-game world.

Ubisoft appear to be gearing up for quite an impressive post-launch season pass and support for this game. As I said yesterday, I really do hope the game exceeds my expectations and this DLC really does help it along the way. Find more details on the season pass here.
