Yes? Perfect! We want to hear from you! Ready Player Gone is a new UK based start-up run by gaming enthusiasts and we want you to join our team!
We’re looking for volunteers that have a passion for gaming and want to write about them. That could be in the form of news, reviews or other opinion pieces. We already produce a wide variety of content but we’re always open to fresh ideas!
We’re incredibly flexible with the amount of content you produce. We all have lives and other priorities. This is a volunteer position and we understand that. Can’t write anything one week? Not a problem. Want to write three reviews about games you’ve played, also totally fine. Work at your own pace, produce the content you feel is best and we’ll help you do that!
Positions are open to anyone, anywhere in the world, although a good level of English is a requirement. Of course, the team are here to help with editing and polishing.
- A passion for gaming
- Can speak English
- A pulse (preferable)
- Gaining industry experience
- Working within a small but dedicated team
- Constant access and communication to the whole team, including the site lead, Joey
- Chance at review copies for both indie and big name games

Write an article. It can be anything you like! News, a review, an opinion piece, anything! Just the type of thing you’d be interested in writing for us on a regular basis if you became part of the team! If you’re really stuck for ideas, try looking around the site! If you’re really, really, REALLY stuck try writing a new Gamepass: Gold or Garbage article. You can find examples on the site!
Check that bad boy over! Nothing worse than submitting a typo ridden article!
